Voting Question: Water leak and carpet smells?
This past weekend we had a water leak in our apartment. Service people came in and cleaned it with vacuum and steam carpet cleaners. They did not replace the carpet. Now the carpet gives out this odor that reminds me of rotten cantaloupes. They just steam cleaned it yesterday, should i wait few days and see if the odor goes away before asking them to replace the carpet? Also, are there any carpet odor cures, like powder or something that i can put on to the carpet? thanks
